Hey, Y'all!
So - in an effort to keep our idea of the blog fresh, I am posting some news about the Community Readiness Training on Oct. 17 and 18.
Right now, we have Melanie Rivers from Chee Mamuk and SueAnne from Healing Our Spirit for the 17th to lead the training session. They are going to see if they can stay for the 18th as well, to provide some support around the two agencies partnering through a "Practice of skills and action planning" day. Unfortunately, I am unable to be there for the 17th (I have to attend the PAN annual general assembly that day in Vancouver), but hope to fly in that night so I can be present on the 18th.
The only details left to be organized are space and food. Brenda Deakin of KDC Health says she may have more than 8 people from her side attending, and their large training room has been booked by another group for those two days. We MIGHT be able to squeeze into their other meeting room - but just in case, we might have to help in finding another room somewhere in Campbell River to reserve for those dates. I'll keep you posted. As for food, I suspect Brenda and I will figure out how to cover that off between us - but if you have any ideas, let me know.
Shane - you had asked about other service providers attending. I need to check with Brenda if she thinks her folks would be ok with that, since originally it had been an AVI/KDC thing. Probably will be ok...but I should make sure first.
Otherwise - any other questions?
H.
